How to wean EBF 8mo onto formula

My 8mo daughter is exclusively breastfed. I tried 3 pumps and could never get anything out so she's never had a bottle but it's never been a problem.

Now that she's weaning we've started giving her some water in a tommee tippee sippy cup with her meals, and gradually she is taking more and more but I rarely get her to take more than 3oz of water at one sitting, so it's slow going, and I still do a lot of breastfeeds throughout the day, and usually one big feed or 2 small feeds in the night

She's about to start nursery in a couple of weeks and they've asked for her to come with whatever milk she usually drinks, so I want to try and switch her to formula and need to get her used to it before she goes

In a few weeks I also have to go away for a week for work so my husband will need to feed her while I'm away, including the night feeds

Should I be trying to give her this formula from her sippy cup or should I be introducing a bottle at this late stage?

I'm particularly worried about any night feeds and she usually chokes and coughs when she drinks from her sippy cup which is fine in the day but would wake her up and probably really upset her in the middle of the night, and make it much harder for my husband to get her back to sleep

Does anyone have any advice on what bottle / teat / cup would be best for a baby in this situation?

Thanks for your help!
