Can't get Haakaa pump to stay

I'm really hoping for some help as I'm struggling and getting frustrated. Been trying whet the haakaa pump to stay on my boob and it just won't. I sterilise it, it comes out still wet (steam steriliser) and then just will not suction nor release milk. I tried both when breastfeeding and just normally. Can anyone help me?

Pull the lips back, squeeze the body then attach. This video is really helpful

How are you squeezing it to get it attached op? I struggled and then had a play around and realised I was squeezing it the wrong way.

You need to squeeze it front and back rather then from the sides, iyswim.

Btw as breasts aren’t sterile I think you only need to sterilise it once in a 24hr period - I just washed mine in hot soapy water and rinsed in between. Give it a good shake when it comes out of the steriliser to get rid of excess water?

I always wipe the top ‘flange’ part of mine with a clean tea towel or muslin to make sure it’s dry before trying to attach - it just won’t if there is any moisture between the silicone and your skin.

Also try turning the top part inside out, holding it down while you squeeze the pump, then letting it flip back when you apply to the breast (hope that makes sense) - you get a much stronger suction and it stays on better.
