If you don't sterillise, do you still have to boil the water?

I'm thinking that if people don't sterilise things these days, does that mean you also don't boil the water to make up the bottles?

I'm thinking about weaning in a few weeks time and remembering what a pain it is to boil and cool water for drinking, so can I just give tap water in these non-sterilising days?

The non-sterlising bit is becasue if you wash the bottles and teats very thoroughly in very hot soapy water and rinse well, they should be clean enough. I still boil water for bottles, but mine drank tap water with meals or mixed with juice etc from 6m.
