Partner gave bottle

Hi, my baby is 6 weeks and breastfed except for one late evening bottle that my partner gives so I can sleep.

Had a bad night and morning so he took him this afternoon so I could sleep. I woke up after 1hr 45 and was surprised he hadn't come through for a feed - he was giving the baby a bottle because he misunderstood that I just wanted to rest to the next feed.

Will this affect my supply? Am frustrated but trying not to be annoyed as didn't actually say come and wake me.

Just missing one feed shouldn’t do any harm. I wouldn’t worry.

Don't worry OP my husband did something similar and it was fine. You don't mention if it's formula or breast milk but something to consider would be to pump and then your DH can give him this in lieu of formula then you're maintaining/enhancing your supply (apologies if I've misunderstood there).

You'll be fine- don't worry

Couldn't hurt to hand express some if you are concerned but would be no different to baby having a good nap and missing a feed. It'll be fine :)

Thanks all, have calmed down now - very glad posted here and didn't have a go at him!
