My nearly 5 month old is currently taking 10mg per day of omeprazole for reflux. He’s started weaning early based on advice from a paediatrician and is currently taking 4 8oz bottles a day.
He’s a terrible sleeper - he has a feed between 7.30-9.30pm depending on how tired he is (sometimes we dream feed him) but he rarely then sleeps past midnight/1am before we then have constant wake ups. He thrashes around terribly in his cot and seems to be in discomfort. I’ve been told by my Paediatrician that omeprazole can cause sleep disruption. Has anyone had any similar experiences with this medication? I’m contemplating stopping the medication today and seeing what happens...
