after some advice. I have just received my new electric breast pump and am wondering if I have just fed ds from left boob and am now expressing right boob. When my lo has his next feed do I feed from left or right boob.

I'd do left, but perhaps express at different times each day so that each boob gets a fair share of pump and mouth IYSWIM

Hi, I've just started expressing today to build up a supply for going back to work next month .

I feed both sides each feed and have been advised to express shortly after feeding, to allow my boobs plenty of time to produce more milk in time for ds2's next feed. So in that case, I suppose you ought to feed off your left side - but then you'd only be expressing one side... Maybe you should express after a feed on the side you've just fed on, then next feed swap both the feed and the express to the opposite side IYSWIM!

I would feed from right and express from left next as babies are more efficient at getting milk out than pumps!
