All of a sudden this past few days my DS wants to feed every 2 hours. He does 4-5 ounces every feed he normally will go 3-4 hours during feeds but now he wants to feed every 2 hours if not less.

Will he be having a growth spurt?? I have been feeding him every times he's showing he's hungry but scared I could be over feeding him...

He's formula fed x

It's normal. He'll be having a growth spurt so will be wanting the extra calories. I'm sure my DS did this around the same age.

Hey definitely a sign of a leap. Sometime around 7-9weeks baby goes through change where they begin to perceive patterns differently - using all their senses - to help them do new things.
This cognitive development causes them to want to be fed more frequently, to be entertained more often, they may cry easily, want more contact etc. Not all babies experience all of them but it's just their way of saying they going through a change and need your help to get through it.

Check out the "wonder weeks" app - there is a small fee for it but worth it. It tells you more about the different stages of cognitive development your child goes through at different times.

Alternatively there is also a book on it which is more detailed. But I prefer the app because it is synced to my calendar so I get notifications before a leap begins so I am prepared.

Growth spurt seems the most likely, maybe get some HV weights 2 weekly to ensure your baby isn’t climbing up centiles too rapidly
