My 15 month dd's latch has deteriorated so much in the last couple of weeks that I now dread bf. She's not actually biting but her front teeth dig in and I'm getting cracked and sore nipples again like I did when she was newborn. I've tried different positions and unlatching her and trying again but nothing helps. I'm using lansinoh but ideally it just wouldn't be happening. No symptoms of thrush or mastitis. She is teething her 3rd and 4th molar at the moment and has very swollen gums so I'm wondering if that's affecting it but her latch is still terrible when she's had teething powders, gels and calpol or neurofen. It has crossed my mind to wean her it's so bad but I don't want to do that. Does anyone have any experience of this or can think of anything I haven't tried?

Yes I find bf is painful when DS is teething as he’s a lot rougher and can’t latch on as well. He’s 18 months. Hopefully someone will come along with a solution.
