I've used a few brands and they get so frothy. I've tried stirring it but then it's not disolved properly.

Why is that an issue? Surely it settles once you stop shaking it and when you tip the bottle any froth would go to the bottom of the bottle not into the teat.

Lottiebugz22 · 25/01/2019 08:51

Because it contributes to wind...

Just let the bottle settle ie bubbles disperse before giving to your baby.

shpoot · 25/01/2019 08:55

Just let it settle if the froth bothers you.

I used to worry about this so I used to add a few drops of Infacol to my dd's bottle and watch in wonderment as the bubbles magically popped before my eyes!! My dd is 13 now so not sure if it's still available? But just add a few drops of some colic treatment to bottle.....maybe check with pharmacist first that it's ok to do this...maybe you shouldn't but I did!!

You need to practice your best bar tender swirl - dont shake. Base of the bottle on the kitchen top, and imagine you're making a tasty cocktail - swirl round and round. Gently to start, and then with a bit more oomph.

Like Fudgecakes I used Infacol in every bottle. A couple of drops makes the bubbles disappear . Easy.

I second swirling rather than shaking. Also make sure you are adding the powder to the water and not the water to the powder as that makes it harder to mix.

I've got some infacol so I'll try that thank you. I usually give it to her before feeds.
