Aptamil Comfort

Hi all

We have switched from aptamil 1 to aptamil comfort just under a week ago for 15 week old. LO definitely seems to be passing wind a lot easier (at both ends!) and more content. Hes not uncomfortable when doing poos but when he does they are explosive.. really dark and almost like water so coming out the nappy regularly. They are also unbelievably smelly.

I know they say to allow a couple weeks for any change of formula to let digestive systen adjust but wondering if anyone that has switched to this can advise if they had the same and if nappies returned to a more solid consistency?

Thanks

We had the opposite with our little girl, very constipated and uncomfortable. Didn’t leave it a few weeks to see if it passed as I couldn’t stand to watch her in pain so swapped back. Have you switched due to reflux?

@ss1987 Ironically after me posting that, he didnt do a number 2 all day yesterday or this morning so far Confused He does have the cold now though so not sure if he is uncomfortable with that or his stomach. It's like a permanant guessing game!
He does have reflux that was being managed pretty well wth ranitidine and carobel through the aptamil 1 however still struggled with a lot of wind and getting bunged up by carobel so spoke to health visitor about trying comfort milk.

Unfortunately, my little boy’s nappies did not improve on comfort milk. We couldn’t stand them - I had to apologise for how stinky he was! We changed to reflux milk after a while when we discovered the problem was reflux not colic.
