Medela Swing Breastpump - sterilising question

I've been using an Avent hand pump and after 4 months it is time to move to electric (ouchey wrist). So. I've heard the Medela Swing is good, but that you are not supposed to microwave sterilise medela products?? Is this right? Seems a bit strange to me but if true I think I'll dump the Medela and go for something else ..

I've got a mini medala pump and I put it in the microwave. ( the bottle and the cone bit)I think you need to watch the little white membrane flap bit for warping but so far it's been fine.
I boil mine too

I've always microwaved the medela things with no ill effects (9 months so far).

Medela sell their own brand of sterilising bags that you put in the microwave, so it's not true you can't use the microwave.

I put my Swing in an Avent steam steriliser without problems. The Swing is great, btw.
