i failed after 2 weeks with ds but if it really is possible, i'd be keen to find out. also, do you think it's worth it as he is nearly 1?

It is definitely possible for you to lactate again, I have read many accounts. Apparently it happens all the time in undeveloped countries when a mother dies and a granny/auntie takes over the feeding. How easy it would be to persuade a baby that age to latch on after all this time I don't know.

Sorry to hear about your bf problems. I got to 12 days bf ds1 and gave up in despair, the support I got was rubbish. It turned me into a real militant for my next two, but I will always feel sad that my little boy missed out on that experience. Not that he cares now!

many thanks, liza.
not sure how practical it will be as it is so long ago. however, it has made me more determined to get support before no.2 comes along so hopefully that will be a success!
