Galactocele- help!

Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone has any experience in getting rid of a galactocele? We have had a tricky bf journey so far (tounge tie cut@ 3 weeks, low weight gain, now combi fed 2 bottles of formula a day) and the most recent issue was mastitis@ 5 weeks with an abscess. I have had it aspirated for the last 9 weeks, developed fistulas which contrary to the specialists beliefs managed to heal without stopping bf. It is painful & I'm fed up of having large needles inserted weekly. LO doesn't want to feed on that side so I pump & keep trying him. Does anyone have any advice? I'm at my wit's end but don't want to stop bf yet (lo is only 13 weeks). Tia.

The pump isn't as good at getting milk out properly that side as a baby. Will they feed at all from it?

Hand expressing in a warm bath usually got a bit more out, worth a try.

Thanks for your replies. I have had support from the breastfeeding coordinators at my local hospital and see a sonographer (ex surgeon) and a surgical consultant once a week but they are all at a loss for a magic cure too. I have another aspiration this morning so just hope it has reduced. I feed rugby & everything in-between on both sides but he just can't latch on the bad side, probably because the galactocele makes that breast hard. I will keep trying & hope he suddenly gets it.
Happy Christmas & thanks again.
