My DD is 8 months old and will only breast feed for milk. She'll take water from a cup but refuses formula, EBM and cow's milk. She's never taken a bottle. I feed her am and pm as I work full time and she takes solids well. How can I get her onto milk that's not from me??!! I want my boobs back and am also worried that overall she's not getting enough milk...

Think she needs 12-16 oz of milk a day including stuff in food. with two b-fs she is probably getting at least 8-10oz and the rest she is probably making up in her cereal and other food. Don't worry

One trick is to give her some foamed milk on a spoon next time you go out for a coffee. Just give her the top of your cappucino or get them to do you some foamed milk in an expresso cup.

Give her other dairy products like cheese and yoghurts to ensure she gets enough calcium. If she eats a good diet I don't think that she will go without even if she doesn't have any milk for a while.
