8 month old, i don't know what's happening!!

Hi all,
Over the last 2 days my 8 month old has suddenly started to pull away from the breast at most of her feeds, she'll bite me with her 2 little teeth and then look around the room and try to wriggle away to practice crawling. She has had a full feed in the mornings and is established on 3 solid meals a day, she has been drinking a bit of water throughout the day too, but not very much.
I'm worried that she isn't getting enough fluids, she's had wet nappies, but they aren't as wet as usual, if that makes sense.
I've tried to express over the last few days too, to keep my supply going but haven't beeb able to express very much at each time, less than 10mls a go.
I feel really deflated, excuse the pun! and worried. Took her to the doctors today as i wondered if she has an ear infection, but the GP said that she hasn't, so that's gopd, but i'm puzzled. Is this self weaning? She is definitely teething though, could this be the cause?
I'm worried that maybe my milk is stopping because she is eating solids so well...?
Does anyone have any advice? Or any tips on how to increase supply if that is the issue. I'm not ready to give up breastfeeding yet, unless she is! She wakes once or twice a night but over the last week or so she's fallen asleep without a feed.
Any input welcome!

Have you tried a breastfeeding cover (blanket/muslin) to avoid distractions, although baby could find it more distracting.

I wouldn't worry about supply at this stage, it's clearly established and if demands there the milk will come back. As long as you keep offering she'll take it if she wants to.

If you're worried about hydration then maybe try wetter foods for the time being, milky cereal instead of toast, cucumber sticks instead of crackers, that sort of thing.

I think mine dropped to two feeds day for a while at that age. Then she got ill (unrelated) and started feeding more again.

Totally agree, your supply shouldn’t be a concern at all at 8 months, it will be well established Smile

Is she teething? Have you tried her with sone teething gel?

Have you tried phoning one of the BFing Helplines too? Usually they have some goid suggestions Smile

Thabk you both, reassuring that it's probably not a supply issue!! She eats bonjela, haha, so i'm not sure how much that helps, but plan on trying some ambersol tomorrow. She enjoyed cucumber sticks with lunch Bumble, so thanks for that tip! I didn't think of the BFing line, but will give them a go too!
