Screams in pain after a feed!

Hi - I hope someone can advise me. My ds has been on formula for about 2 weeks (he's 6 weeks old). Just recently he's started screaming his little head off after his 10.30am and his 2.30pm feed. He turns purple and is pushing but with little results. I was using Aptamil but have changed to SMA for a couple of days to see if it helps (doesn't seem to have). Does anyone know if there is a huge difference between formulas and whether they can be giving him an upset stomach? On a slightly different note, his tongue is very white and furry - normal?

Yeah - always expecting there to be something spectacular in his nappy but there's never anything there. Can a six week old be constipated? He has a poo every other day or so, so I don't think it's that. He tends to save them up and have two in a day.

I changed from SMA to Aptamil cos SMA was making my LO very windy. Sometimes mine doesn't poo for a couple of days but often strains during those days as if trying to poo. The doc we took her to said it's normal as long as their poo is normal when it does come. If it's hard then she would be constipated but as it was soft when she does poo it was nothing to worry about.

Yeah, his poo is fairly soft, and sticky but doesn't smell much. I guess it's all normal then. May be I should go back onto the Aptamil then.
