Hi All

Due baby in 5 weeks and wanting to express this time round.

I have the lanisoh electric pump last time and it was useless. Didn't get anything out!! I ended up using a manual but wanting to pump and freeze so need something heavy duty that works.

Can anyone recommend a powerful pump.

Thanks

I had no problems with the Medela Swing, no idea if it's powerful in comparison to the one you have but it worked for me.

I liked the swing but ended up hiring a medela hospital grade pump. With the 20/20 vision of hindsight I should have gone for a double pump- if you are thinking about expressing frequently it saves much time. Medela seem to have a black friday deal on their website at the moment. The mumsnet tests seem to have an ardo one winning.

Spectra S1. I exclusively expressed for a year with one. You can get them on amazon.

Medals swing worked amazingly for me. My baby was born very small and had to be FF for a few days until I was producing more than just colostrum (he wasn't strong enough to get it out). It helped me get my supply up and I still use it now to express milk for the freezer. You can get them on eBay relatively cheaply and just buy new bottles. I was told I would likely end up FFing, but haven't needed a bottle for 3 weeks now :)

There’s a Nuby one half price on the Mothercare website which has good reviews. It doesn’t say out of stock on the page, however when I’ve added it to my basket it does then say out of stock.

Ahh, it’s half price on Amazon too, and a third off at Boots.
