Weaning off breast to bottle

Was just wondering if anybody had any advice on weaning my baby off breast and on to bottle. He's already having a couple of formula feeds a day, and has taken to it wonderfully, but I am expressing my milk off. My problem is that I produce so much and get mastitis at the drop of a hat. Not sure how I will ever be able to give up feeding him. I get so engorged inbetween feeds, and expressing less to discourage production doesn't seem to work. Any suggestions, apart from continuing until either he leaves home or I go through the menopause?!

The French swear thatr eating awhole bunch of fresh parsley will dry your milk off.... I do not know if it really works!
How old is your baby?

He's just over 4 months. I thought I'd better start weaning off my chest now as I thought it would take so long he will probably be 6 months by the time I manage it! Maybe eating a whole bunch of parsley just makes your milk taste yuk and puts the baby off!
