No appetite and BFing?

So my LO is 8 weeks old and EBF. Prior to giving birth all my friends had told me I would be ravenous while breastfeeding, that I shouldn't believe the whole "BFing makes you lose weight" because I would be hungry all the time etc.

Normally (even when not pregnant) I get really hungry in the morning, around noon and at about 4pm, like clockwork. I tend to eat in small quantities but often. However for the past 2-3 weeks I haven't felt hungry at all, I basically have to watch the clock and force myself to eat. This week DH's been travelling for work and I have eaten very little as I keep forgetting. I don't feel depressed or anything like that and LO is going well and gaining weight. I've been trying to at least have some oatmeal in the morning. Anyone else had this? If so when did your appetite come back? I'm worried it's going to affect my supply.

I’ve not experienced it no, but I don’t think it’s much to worry about at this age and is unlikely to affect your supply.

Usually you don’t need to take a vitamin supplement whilst Bfing but I think in your case, I’d start to take a decent vitamin and mineral supplement. Make sure you drink plenty too.

It might be worth mentioning to the GP as Anaemia can cause a suppressed appetite.
