Curdled milk coming back up

My baby is 16 days old and he is exclusively breastfed.
He had a feed this afternoon and for the first time he was sick afterwards (he’s had a little bit of milk come back up a couple of times previously). This time there was loads of curdled looking milk and it had a really strong acidic smell.
He did cry a little bit afterwards, but immediately wanted to continue feeding afterwards.

Do I need to be worried or contact somebody? Other than that, he’s fine in himself, eyes wide open and very alert.

Honestly he was probably a bit greedy and it sat in his stomach a bit longer before it came up. I sincerely doubt there's anything wrong with him. Congratulations! Worrying is what mums do. Flowers Smile

You ok OP? How's little one?

CathyandHeathcliff · 02/11/2018 20:49

Hi he’s had another sicky episode but with just milk this time and no acid smell or curdle.
I’m not sure whether I should get a GP appointment.

Gps are usually very happy to reassure new mums. What about your HV? Can you ring her?
Is he still ok in himself? If he is I think he's fine but YOU need some reassurance from someone who can look at him or talk to you, Op. And it's fine for you to need that, you know.

How's little one this morning, CathyandHeathcliff? Did you and baby have an ok night?

CathyandHeathcliff · 03/11/2018 12:12

@onalongsabbatical Hi thanks for checking in with me. Yes he seems ok in himself. We had an ok night, not brilliant. He was a little bit sick again but it wasn’t curdled this time, it did have an acidic smell though.

I’ll keep an eye on it and maybe contact the GP next week.

Glad you're ok and he's ok. I thought about you yesterday after I'd posted but I was nowhere near the internet all day (rare thing!).

How's he doing?
