Does anyone know if it is true that drinking peppermint tea reduces your milk production? Or is this a myth?

I had some after my cs - worked a treat . And I had loas of milk - 100ml per pump by the time I left hospital.

That is good to hear. Maybe it is a myth then. Was a bit confused as my HV suggested drinking lots of it to help with DS's wind but then read in a bf booklet that one way of naturally reducing your milk was to drink a couple of cups of peppermint tea a day. I asked the HV and she had never heard of this. I drink peppermint tea all the time so was a bit worried I might be upsetting the milk production but it sounds like you have both been fine so much relief . Thank you!

Fennel tea is also good for colic and it is supposed to be good for improving your milk supply too.

Great. I have lots of fennel in the garden so will give that one a try. Cheers RBH
