My son is 4 weeks old, and Iv had to change his milk as he was on cow and gate but wasn't working out for him, was very constipated.. so he's now been on mamia first milk for a week and he's still very constipated, been given tablets to place up his bottom to help him poo but they are the only things that actually get him to poo :( and when he does, the poo is really hard, really green and he really struggles to get it out. Takes a good 10 minutes for him. What shall I do? Any suggestions? Shall I change his milk again?

Hard poo isn’t great, is baby showing any other signs of dehydration?

Has anyone mentioned the possibility of Cow’s Milk Protein Allergy?. Have a read of the link and see if any of the symptoms are familiar Smile

I have thought that, will be taking him back to doctors if he doesn't improve within the next few days! Thank you xx

I’ve got CMPA and when I went to the GP, I printed off that info and took it with me. It might help if you do the same Thanks

My son had constipation as a newborn baby. We went to a pediatric bladder specialist (AKA as a urologist) for support and advice in the summer of last year.
Best decision I’ve ever made for him. I basically made a appointment and off we went straight to the hospital. They were not able to help solve all of my problems but they provided us with a decent amount of support and answered questions properly as well. After testing we concluded we needed to take action pronto. How was the appointment?
