So my DS almost 1 has now been referred to a pediatrician for review of his reflux for failure to gain weight and as a result crossing 2 percentile lines since birth. He weighs 8kg.

I have been told he will have a pH impedance test and after googling this I am a little worried as he will be be undertaking this as an outpatient. Are there any experiences people can share about how to keep a tube down his nose and the monitor attached for 24 hours....how to keep him and me calm...possible outcomes...

I'm pretty worried tbh.

Thanks.

We’ve not had this done but my DS has spent a bit of time having tests and procedures. I can honestly say that the staff have always been super with him. Please try not to worry too much, he’ll need you to be calm Thanks
