Is this a period? Thought wouldn't get one until had stopped BF!

Am slightly concerned, as DS (7.5 months) really hasn't taken to solids yet, and so am still BF regularly day and night. But does this mean I'm producing less milk? Also, does this mean I'm 'fertile' again?!

Some women's periods do come back while they're still breastfeeding. It doesn't mean that you're producing less milk.

no and yes, and you were 2 weeks ago ! Lucky you to get so far - I had one at 6 weeks 9 weeks then 5 months !

You can menstruate while bf-ing. Don't think it means anything re. the quality of your milk - might just indicate that you are feeding him a bit less frequently, eg less at night?

Assume you are fertile! I got pregnant with ds2 while bf-ing ds1.

Thank you! reassuring to know it's normal. Although still feeding him a stupid number of times at night so was quite surprised! Guess I'll have to dig out the old Lillets (silly question probably, but it's ok to wear tampons again isn't it?! Still a bit psychologically sensitive about the area after childbirth!).

I had periods from 4 mths with both my babies. Very annoying

My periods came back when DS was 6 months and had 3 night on the trot when he slept through. His sleep has been absolutely terrible since so I'm feeding him at least twice every night but my periods still seem to be regular (4 months later)

I started again straight away with dd very very !!! it was 10 months with ds, bf both for much, much longer

period came back when DS was 6wks & got pg 2 mths after stopping bf

my periods started again when dd1 was just eight weeks old, even though I was bfing day and night every 2 or 3 hours! Very annoying.

with dd2 it took 9 months.

My periods came back exactly 4 weeks after the birth and I bf till mine were 16 months and 18 months.
