formula feed for twins

I am formula feeding twins of two weeks old and they sleep a lot and never awake , they are more likely to ask for milk every 5 hours rather than three and this my first time with formula fed from day 0 . Is that normal ? I am a bit concerned .

How is their weight and weight gain? At two weeks old I was having to wake DS2 every three hours to feed as he was small and gain was slow.

Samuel is 3 kg and 400 grams and Romy is 2 kg and 6 grams which I think its not too bad for twins born only the 11 th September !

Samuel is much more hungry than Romy and he barely make it up to three hours as he wants to be fed before that .
With Romy is more slow and complicated it takes a long time to feed her.

I do not know how much they weight at birth, sorry.

They have been on formula from day 1 as they are born from a surrogate mother , my employers are a gay couple.

are you there full time? If so you need to see their weight charts and know if they are putting on enough weight... We had to wake our twins to feed for a while as they lost too much weight and were sleepy.

I would ask your employers for more information, you'll need to know whether they are gaining weight as expected according to their birth weight.

Do they have lots of wet and dirty nappies during the day? At that age and weight I reckon they probably need waking up to feed.

Keep an eye out for tongue tie with the slow feeder. My DS could take up to 90 mins to feed until we found out he had tongue tie.
