Anyone use a breastbottle like this??..

If so how have you found it?

DS2 is 14 weeks old and just won't take EBM in a bottle, it's not a major issue most days except on a Saturday I take DD to her swimming class and end up driving 20 mils there, getting changed, having swimming lesson, getting changed and driving 20 miles back in 2 hours as I know DH is going to be franticly trying to pacify DS2.

We have tried all sorts of bottles and teats to no avail and DS2 will cup feed will but DH is not confident with this and struggles when he tries.

Any ideas or revies of the breastbottle will be welcomed

My dd wouldn't entertain it at all but then again the nipple and breast bit where about a quarter of the size of mine so maybe dd didn't recognise what it was!

did toy with the idea of getting this - had tried, and failed, with everything else!

Glad i didn't now as, after 3months of persistence, dd (18 weeks) has suddenly taken well to the MAM flattish teat.

14 weeks. it may sound a bit soon but if he's good at cup feeding maybe look around for a beaker.

I have one was a bit hit and miss but once ds did get drinking on this he did take a bottle as well so might be worth a try.

I had one, didn't help -- DS remained stubbornly uninterested in any type of bottle, including this one.

Loopy EBM is fresh, don't re3ally bother to express unless I need some as I am rubbish at it and it takes an age .

kreamkrackers, funiily enough I have just bought him a toddler cup as DD was drinking from one by the time she was 4 months, so this may be the way forward.

I just hadn't realsed how frustrating it could be as both DS1 and DD took to bottles fine.

Have you tried the tommee tippee back to nature ones? these are a similar shape but are much cheaper.

Talking of cups the one I found ds would drink out of was this one
it comes in a bigger size without handles too he took it no problems at all the whole top is silicone so nice and soft and he got the idea chomping down and sucking on it.

i was just about to buy one of those breast bottles myself as my bf ds was refusing to accept a bottle and although i haven't had to be away from him yet (he's 4 months) i have my best friends hen night coming up and i will be leaving him with dh for a day and a night. i'd been trying for 4 weeks with a selection of bottles and cups and teats at one feed everyday and then just giving him the breast afterwards if he was getting himself in a state. then out of the blue on friday he took a tommee tippee closer to nature, the first one i tried! he's been fine with that one ever since and to look at him feeding from it you'd never know there'd been a problem in the first place, i'm sure he was just messing with me to see how long i'd perservere ;)

hi peachy [waves] have tried the TT ones after them being recommended on the postnatal thread......and NUK and avent, boots own, non brand silicone, orthodontic, latex, you name it was have tried it

ds3 hated the breastbottle, he would scream if he saw it coming! I also found it leaked a lot!In the end he took the Playtex nurser with Naturallatch teat. . I was very annoyed as I wanted him to use Avent as they would have been compatible with my breast pump.
Adiri are bringing out an improved version of the breastbottle though, supposed to be coming out around now.
