Ouch! 7 month old's top teeth have come through.

DD's top teeth are coming through and now they are rubbing when she feeds. Was reading DS's bedtime story tonight through gritted teeth.

I am still feeding about 5/6 times in 24 hours.

Does it get better? I don't remember having this problem at all with DS, but with him I was back at work by this stage so only feeding him once or twice a day.

Should do - they're really really sharp when they first come through, then wear away slightly and aren't as bad. I think babies adjust their latch a little to accommodate teeth as well, and that improves things. Certainly it was more DD's active biting rather than the unintentional scraping that was finally too much for me.

thats encouraging. If I think its going to get better I can stick it out. Haven't experienced biting yet...

Yes, that was definitely my experience. I think he adjusted his latch. Just occasionally it's a bit uncomfortable and I have to swap sides - and it's usually the same side that's uncomfy, so I think there's something about the angles involved. Mine's now 10ms and still feeding 5/6 times in 24 hrs and it's fine (well no, lovely! Well except the middle of the night ones which I could do without...)
