DS has always been a voracious bfeeder and basically cluster fed until we started giving him people food at 6months.
He now has 3 meals a day and the odd snack like fruits etc but would still bfeed before naps and bed and through the day too. Recently though these snack bfeeds have ramped up and it's no exaggeration that every 20 minute she crawls over and pulls down my top to feed. He gets upset if I don't but sometimes I can distract him.
Of course I don't mind feeding him but I don't want to a. Reduce his appetite for his meals or b set a habit of feeding all the bloody time!
It may be worth mentioning that he's never been a sleeper and recently after a bout of really bad vomiting he came back in to the bed and basically just feeds all night. We're trying to get him back in to his cot but obviously he likes the comfort of being close and feeding (I'm getting no sleep though so it's not doable!).
I guess my question is: is this normal? Is this a grown spurt thing? I think he's going to start walking soon and he's taken a few little steps so could be linked? Will he forever be flashing me to people in public?
