Bf - sick and green poos

I am ebf my DS who is 8 weeks. Should I offer both breasts at every feed? I know if he is having a longer feed then he wants both, usually after a 3 hour nap. He will feed off one side, I will burp him then offer the other which he will take. The problem is after offering both he usually possets quite a bit, sometimes it feels like all the feed off breast number 2. I know you can't overfeed a bf baby but not sure if I should just leave it at one breast. Think he is draining them. ..they become like spaniel ears ( great description someone on MN used).

I'm also concerned that his poos are green with stringy bits and have been for about 2 weeks. Before that they were mustard coloured with thick bits, bit like cottage cheese which I thought was what is normal at this age. (Sorry for TMI ).

If the poos are consistently green I’d talk to your local La Leche League Leader or a BFC on one of the Bfing Helplines. It’s probably nothing but it’s worth talking through with someone who is fully trained Smile

@JiltedJohnsJulie thanks. I spoke to my local bf support group and rang the health visitor. Both said as gaining weight , nappy output is good ie plenty of wet and dirty, baby is content, good colour and sleeping/settling, all sounded normal and not to worry. Said to keep an eye on it. Also referred to an article by Dr Jack Newman whose name I have seen before a Canadian paediatrician. I still think it's a little odd but trying not to worry!
