Milk allergy

My baby (3 months) was throwing himself back during feeds, in pain a lot, being sick after feeds, being sick 2 hours after his feed which was curdled milk. Went to the doctors and was prescribed gaviscon as they thought he had reflux. Was told to come back if he wasn't any better as it could be a milk allergy. He also had eczema. Went back on Thursday as he wasn't any better after being on gaviscon for a while and his eczema didn't clear up. He was prescribed similac alimentum. He's being quite sick after his bottles. Has anyone else experience this with their little one? I don't know if this is normal or not. Heath visitor is coming on Thursday so should I speak to her or get him into the doctors?

It does sound as if it could be a milk allergy OP. Have a read of this on Allergy UK and see what you think. Did the GP refer you to a Paediatric Dietician too or for allergy testing?

If baby is still vomiting, I’d go back to the GP and ask for a completely dairy free (DF) formula. The proteins in the formula you have been prescribed have been broken down to make them easier to digest but it does still contain milk and it sounds as if baby needs to be completely milk free.
