Breastfeeding in a swimming pool? Wtf!

I can’t believe what I’ve just read!

I've never forgotten the previous thread on this..it got weird.

Im wondering whether it's to do with health and safety - my gym is Virgin Active in Sheffield which is genuinely the most family-friendly, breastfeeding-friendly place I've been to, but they do ask you to move to the poolside if you're feeding. I'm sure they wouldn't do that if there wasn't a good reason, since the whole place is full of breastfeeding mothers (it's the only place with a crèche for miles).

I imagine they wouldn't let someone bottle feed in the pool, or eat a packet of crisps?

It takes around 3 minutes to her to feed toddler
Yet lesson was over by the time she finished feeding

If it was that close to the end of the lesson she could've taken him out and got him dressed /wrapped in towel

So she was feeding her baby in what's basically other people soup and chlorine? Yuk.

My babies always wanted to feed when I took them swimming. My swimsuit showed a lot more boob than my normal clothes, so I think they saw cleavage and assumed it was milk time. I can't remember whether I breastfeed in the pool or not, but do remember spending a lot of time attempting to wrestle my boob away from a baby who was prepared to stop at nothing to get at milk.

I'm currently BF my DD but this is ridiculous. When she's sucking on one the other is leaking. I wouldn't want milk leaking on other swimmers! It's this sort of story that make BF in general more controversial. What a dick.
