Trying to swap some feeds for formula. Any tips?

I am trying to drop my day breast feeds for formula in anticipation for my return to work. My dd is 6 and half months and has taken to solids quite happily, she will also drink water from a cup. However, she gagged when I gave her formula, not liking the taste was my interpretation. Now I have only tried a couple of times so maybe I am being premature with the question. Do others have experience of this or tips to get formula accepted?

Could the teat be too fast/slow or milk too hot/cold? Has she had ebm before? You may just need to persist

Willl she take the formula from a cup? It doesn't have to be a bottle. Else try different teats - I found the Avent ones good, because the baby can gape their mouth around it like on a boob. Or if it's the taste, then how about mixing ebm and formula and varying the ration until it's all formula. Try different formulae. Try getting someone else to do the formula feeds. Try offering formula when she's hungry but not ravenous or overtired. Alternatively, if she still feeds at night, try offering her the formula while shee's still asleep.
