Mamia Formula - closest pre made equivalent?

Hi All

Please don’t make this into a breast v’s bottle debate. I’ve made my decision to bottle feed due to previous experience of breast feeding my first child up to 12 months.

I’m planning on feeding my 2nd baby (due 5 weeks today) formula. The Mamia Aldi one looks great, I’ve seen some good reviews and so want to give it a go. I’m wondering if anyone has used this and has any feedback? Also, I want to take some pre made formula to hospital and will need pre made for when we are out and about. Has anyone used this formula mostly and then used a different type of pre made when out and about without hiccup? If so, which brand?

When we get to grips with formula (not done it before) I’m sure we will be able to work out how to make it when out as others do with flasks and tubs etc and so it’s probably just the first few days/weeks. But would be super convenient if we could have a pre made equivalent for emergencies.

Thanks in advance

I used aptamil ready mixed alongside Mamia formula for DC1. You can also get it in teeny tiny bottles or 'starter packs' to take to hospital but they are extraordinarily expensive.

Why would you think anyone would make it into a breast v bottle debate though? Confused. You don't need to justify your decision here or in real life!

I second Aptamil. We used the Aptamil starter pack (1st DC & naive!) for hospital, use Mamia at home & out if we have easy access to hot water, but still use Aptamil ready made when on the go & LO has had no issues what so ever.

I did research this before LO was born & before we decided what formula we were using & read that Aptamil & Mamia are very very similar in their make up.

Aptamil BUT we also used Cow and Gate

Mamia ended up giving DS bad guts though, we tried it instead of the HIPP Organic powdered milk we gave DD. Just a heads up should it happen to you xx
