My 4 week old just slept through the night?!

Okay so maybe I’m a little mad for freaking out and some of you might be thinking I should make the most of it... but is it normal (I know it’s not common!) for a 4wo to sleep through the night?!

My DS last had a feed at 10:30 ish last night, and I’ve just woken up totally freaked out around 5am to an awake but not crying little man fairly content in his crib.

Me and my partner have been setting alarms through the night to make sure he doesn’t go longer than 3-4 hours without a feed as we’ve been concerned about dehydration in this heat but they didn’t go off last night. He has around 4 ounces through the day every 3 hours and occasionally some cooled boiled water as advised by my doctor.

Has anyone else experienced this so early on and would you make the most of it or continue setting alarms?

Thank you x

4 weeks is young, but Ds did 7-2 (7 hrs) at 8 weeks and Dd did 11-5 at 10 weeks. Neither had sleep regression and both slept fine throughout (aged 14 and nearly 12). If weight gain is good enjoy it 😀 Both breast fed too.

My 2nd one is like this and thank goodness!

My 1st had to be held to sleep until two years old and still is not a good sleeper. I used to feel down whenever one of my NCG friends would boast how good sleeper her daughter was and was sleeping at her own bedroom by two weeks.

Enjoy

My youngest did this, after two horrible sleepers, she just started to sleep through at a few weeks and just continued to do so.

She was the only one that was formula fed though (medication I was on that I wasn’t on while feeding the last two babies), so I don’t know if that makes a difference?

I have everything crossed that my DS due 12 sept does this!! After 2 years of a non sleeping DD I definitely deserve it!
