Strange things people say RE feeding babies

I’ve heard a few odd things recently since having my 4mo who is EBF. Made me curious as to what other people have said, just to be nosey and have a giggle really lol.

Please note this is not about breast vs formula as you do what’s best for you and yours.

BF is really uncommon around my lot, 2 have combi fed for the first few months all the rest are formula so they don’t necessarily “get it”.

I was told my baby is “lovely and chunky for a baby on just breast milk because normally they’re a bit skinny”

Told my mum I’d like to aim for 2 years breastfeeding and she looked at me like I’d sprouted another head.

And why does everyone want to give baby chocolate as soon as they’re on solids?

Also the common one of being told a bigger baby will never be satisfied on just breast milk and will need formula.

Again, as I know it can be sensitive, I’m not in any way being negative about formula. I combi fed my first baby til 7 months then dropped BF altogether.

But i dont know anyone who wants to give their baby chocolate though.

rosa people don't want to give their babies chocolate, but everyone else seems to want to give other people's babies chocolate. I did quite well out of it at Easter though so I'm not complaining...

Lol my first I avoided chocolate for the most part and so even as a toddler he’d choose cucumber over sweets. But this new baby family are saying things like “I can’t wait til you’re eating I’m gonna give you chocolate buttons” and everyone thinks he’s ready for solids now because he chews everything (teething) and because years ago it was fine.
