Hi, how do i go about seeing a lactation consultant to help with BF problems? Not sure what they do/are? TIA

You could try phoning la Leche league or your children’s centre/health visitor to see if they know anyone. I had a private lactation consultant come to my house to watch a feed and check latch etc and found it really really helped my confidence. Best of luck.

An IBCLC Lactation consultant is a medical professional trained in breastfeeding support. You can find your nearest one here:

Often you need to pay for a consultation but many also run free drop in clinic consultations. I’ve just started seeing one as I’ve been having problems feeding 6 day old DS and it really is worth getting expert advice as early as possible!!
