When did your DC cut down on breastfeeding?

DD is now 15 months. At the minute she is breastfeeding like a newborn again. Which I think is down to a combination of this hot weather, teething and she is just learning to walk. However even before this she still feed very regularly 4/5 times a day plus 1/2 night feeds.
I hear so often from friends/family that their DC only really bf about 1/2 a day from about 10 months as they were eating solids.
Am I doing something wrong? She does have three meals a day plus snacks. Although she isn't a big eater and rarely finishes her meals.
Ideally whilst I love bf her and don't want to stop yet. I would like to cut down does anyone have any tips?
Thought I would add when I'm at work three days a week she is fine to go without milk. She just makes up for it in the evening/following day.

Not until after 2, tbh. I fed on demand until she was 2 and then DH night weaned her at 2. Now down to morning & bedtime at nearly 4.

You’re doing great! Your DD sounds exactly like mine absolute boob monster she’s two now and still feeds upwards of twice a day.
I work most days so she copes with morning milk and bedtime milk fine on those days.
If you want to cut down a bit try distraction or offering milk/water in a cup, on days when I needed a break from feeding I went out with her a lot to the park or Childrens centre, she was less likely to ask for milk if we were out.

The only thing that worked for me was NEVER sit down! 😄 DD2 always seemed to see it as an invitation!

The first and last of the day were uncounted and we settled in all snug for them. I night weaned by about 7-8 months.

We lasted til nearly 4 both times this way.

When DS was 3 he gradually lost interest. Though I cut out feeding during the night when he was 2.

Oops! Where did the beginning of my post go? Confused. It meant to say:

I think I started counting down out loud on the unnecessary feeds, starting from a minute and gradually got down to 30 secs, then 20, 10 then it wasn't worth them starting at all. That left just early morning and before bedtime.
