Can I switch from mixed feeding to exclusively breastfeeding again?

Hi guys, just after a bit of advice. My little boy is 7 weeks old and over the last two weeks I've resorted to combination feeding him due to tongue tie issues/saving my sanity. He only has two bottles of formula a day, I try and give them at the same time (one about 10am, the other about 5pm) but after we get his tongue tie sorted I hope to just exclusively breast feed again but I'm worried I won't be able to having affected my supply? Is there anything I can do or will I just have to carry on mixed feeding? Thanks x

I would express as much as you could for now- that should help with your supply

Sorry for the short reply on a train and about to loose signal x

I did this. You just need to offer feeds often, in order to build up your supply. Make sure you drink plenty too. It will be hard going for a couple of days but your supply will increase and it will become easier.

You can- I did though it was a hard slog. Start expressing milk and gradually reduce the anonth of formula you give to match the amount you express. I could never have expressed two bottles but by dropping very very gradually between the expressing and DD feeding better we were able to get back on track. Good luck!

I concur with above and would recommend expressing and gradually weaning

I managed to get back to EBF at 5 weeks. Spade loads of determination, some expressing, drink loads of water, eat oats and try to rest when you can and hopefully your supply will come up to meet the demand.
