Lunch and snack ideas for a 9mo please

I'm running out of ideas....he doesn't really like bread or toast. I'd ideally like to start offering more food to encourage a bit of weaning off bf.

Easy things to take out would be great. Thanks!

Omelette (various fillings) cut into strips.

Pasta in a cheesy or tomato-based sauce.

Cauliflower cheese.

Steamed carrot sticks, cucumber, pitta & houmous or any other dip he might like.

Cheese and lunch meat (ham, turkey, beef) rolled up.

Pasta salad, hummus with crackers or rice cakes. I also used to make batches of mini vegetable pasties and savoury muffins (spinach and feta, broccoli and cheddar) that I could freeze and then just heat before we went out.

I tended to rely on ready made pouches when we went out. DD would hold and suck them herself.

At home though if I needed to do something separate rather than her just eating bits of what we were having:

Pasta (fusilli is a good one for them to pick up)
Sticks of cheese
Yoghurt
Soft fruits
Boiled Egg
Crackers with soft cheese
Chunky bits of ham
Slides of cucumber/ tomato

Have you seen the fruit feeders? They are really good if you're concerned about pips etc I'll try and attach a photo. I tend to do a little new potato, mixed veg and either fish or chicken if I'm giving him a hot lunch or slice of brown bread, baby bel or slice of cheese (thick so he can hold it), cherry tomato in a fruit feeder, celery, carrot, breadstick and dip. Sometimes crackers, or some sliced meat like chicken or beef - basically anything he can hold to try. We tried spring onions today - the jury is outGrin. It's all hit and miss I'm finding some things he eats with gusto others end up on the floor and what was a favourite last week is just chucked on the floor this week 🙄.

This is them. They are great for fruit some veg and we also found popping an ice cube in when he was teething a real help 👍🏻

If he doesn’t like bread, does he like wraps?

Mine liked “bits” for lunch which was basically a few bits of whatever we had in, strips of chicken, slices of apple, raisins, cubes of cheese, whatever was to hand.

For snacks, both of mine liked cheese straws. You could also try slices of apple spread with smooth nut butter. A cold hard boiled egg. Cubes of cheese and halved grapes. Frozen peas (still one of DDs favourites) or just an ice lolly.

For lunch try omelette, leftovers, Savoury muffins, pitta pizza, fish cakes, tortellini and pesto.

Yeah that was my face when I first heard of people giving them but DD loves them.

Just make sure LO has a pincher grip or they are too young to have them.
