Could my milk be drying up?

My ds is 9mths old and i no longer feed on demand. He bf's 3 times a day. I am a little concerned though as to wether or not my milk supply will sustain itself on 3 feeds per 24 hrs. I know a lot of mums who bf beyond 6mths continue to do so on demand. For the very first time in his little life tonight, ds wouldn't take his feed before bed, so i'm a bit worried.

Oh I would think it should be able to maintain on 3bfs a day at this stage milkymill. Could your ds be teething and off his milk because of this? Are you giving him other milk feeds in a cup, or is all his milk coming from the 3 bfs?

My 9mth DS2 has been fussy feeding these past few weeks. I'm not feeding quite so much on demand now, maybe 4 times in the day and whenever he wakes during the night.
Is it possible he was over tired? DS2 won't feed but flails about for ages if he's very tired.

Is he teething, or just full from dinner.
If dd2 9 1/2 mhs has eaten a lot of dinner she wont have much milk b4 bed,

I wouldn't think your milk would dry up now if you've done it this long.

Oh and dd2 is on about 4 feeds a day,

Wow thanks for your quick replys. He doesn't have any other milk feeds, except when he steals his sister's cow's milk when i'm not looking! His top teeth are coming through so maybe it is that? Just a bit worrying as he fussed a lot during his previous feed, which is quite unlike him.

DS sometimes refuses a feed before bed - or just has a very quick suck and falls asleep. Tends to be if he's really knackered, or really full from supper.

So far has always been a temporary thing and he's been back to little hoover-mouth the next night.

Don't worry - just see how it goes. FWIW if your milk were drying up I would imagine he'd feed MORE, as he'd be trying to get milk out after it had all gone, iyswim?
