Hi everyone. i have 12 month old dd. i have just gone back to work, and have been working every other day for a bit. i think my milk supply is confused. One nork is very sore and hard down one side. I have tried to get dd to feed but she just bit me (she has always preffered her breakfast feeds) and I've tried to express it off but got about a teaspoon (used to get 5 oz off of each boob when she was little). Now I have a banging headache and i am shivering/generally feeling shite. Any suggestions??? thanks in antcipation, x

Sounds like a blocked duct or mastitis.

Hot bath, comb the boob ( I know that sounds odd but it works) Ibuprofen and it no better tomorrow get to the doctor's for antibiotics

Mastitis.
Combing is good, hot bath, keep trying to express and rest as much as you can.

How are you today sbm?

sounds like you should have antibiotics asap to me - i've had it 3 times. tell them you need an urgent appointment today!

ibuprofen really helps. i didn't find hot baths or expressing to be that helpful but the baths were relaxing! combing with my fingers worked the best for me.

kellymom website has some helpful info

Def go straight for antibiotics - I got an emergecy appointment when I told NHS 24 the same symptoms and got antibiotics which helped within 24 hrs.

Good luck as it is really really horrid
