had stopped expressing for abt 2 mths now, cos my supply dropped dramatically after i went on combind pill after being on minipill for three months. am now back on mini-pill and have only just expressed some breastmilk. am shocked to see that it's a greenish sort of white!! is it due to the minipill????or is it the dark brown/green coloured vitamin b pills i am taking??!!! or is it due to an even more sinister reason??i dont think i'm having mastitis...is it safe for dd to consume??? i'd assume so cos she's been nursing ever so happily thus far....

do you eat a lot of spinach? mine went green when i was eating a lot of greens, nothing wrong with it.

Hazlinh - my ebm separated in the fridge to 2 layers of yellowy-creamy milk on the bottom and almost bluey-white on the top. Is that what you see in yours? In which case it's just the hind and foremilk - it's the foremilk that's watery and transluscent with a bluey tinge. If it's really green then you could maybe take a bottle of it to your local baby clinic or ask your HV to come round and have a quick look just incase.

I'm not 100%, but i don't think what you eat can change the colour. Mears or Tiktok will be able to help more.

Don't panic - I think it's fine

er no, bundle, not that i know of....

hi muddaofsuburbia, no, it doesnt turn green after separation, it is actually greenish-white straight out of my boobs!!!

and i'm not sure who to ask, as we don't have hv's here in Malaysia.

I had green and blue expressed milk. I know someone who had pink. I don't think it's a problem, certainly our babies never did!
