Breast to bottle problem

My DD is bf, but has also been taking a bottle of formula a day - until now! She's 15 weeeks, and we are going away for a weekend at the end of June so worried that she won't take a bottle.
Any suggestions? Am about to try ebm instead of formula, haven't changed teats or bottles yet, as she was ok with them until this week.

is it a problem if she doesn't have the bottle?

Bird1 · 26/05/2007 22:24

yes, as I won't be able to feed her myself when I go away as she won't be with us, so trying to get her used to the bottle, so grandma can feed her.

I wish I had the answer - I tried every day for about 4 months and DS never, ever took a bottle. I tried every available brand I could find and it made sod all difference, he just screamed. He is now 13 months and to this day has never taken more than 25ml from a bottle.

However two friends with similar bottle refusniks had success with NUK teats. Didn't work for us, but many rave about them.

This was with EBM btw.

It's weird, as she used to take a bottle, and then all of a sudden didn't. But last night I tried a dream feed with her and she took 4oz of formula with no problem. So going to try ebm tonight whilst she's awake and see what happens.
It's all trial and error isn't it? I didnit have this problem with my ds, and feel quite frustrated that I can't solve it. I'll just have to keep trying different things, any more suggestions?
