Aptamil changes, bad reaction and switching brands?

DS (7mo) has been on Aptamil formula since he was a few days old, it's been a great fit for us and we've never needed to try any other brands... Until now.

These new changes that Aptamil have brought in have caused our son to get constipated and very grizzly. He's a completely different kid at the moment. He won't take more than 3oz of his powder feeds but will continue to drain the ready made bottles which have not changed at all which is why I suspect that he just isn't getting on with the new formula.

Buying only ready mades isn't really a financially viable option for us so we are considering switching brands altogether.

Does anyone have any recommendations, suggestions or advice? Or similar experiences?

There are a few threads that have popped up recently about Aptamil and Cow & Gate. If you do swap, just make sure it’s not to Cow & Gate as they’re made in the same factory Smile

I switched to cow and gate as 6m.old was on aptamil throughout and no problems. Same ingredients just slightly different proportion.

Yes very similar. My 4 month old daughter was vomiting watery stuff, waking all night very hungry & screaming in pain. As the milk doesn't dissolve she really was getting a bottle of water & the lumps were going down the sink.
There's a petition to try & get them to change back to the old formula.

Just coming on to say that my new tub of cow and gate seems different. Doesnt smell right and took longer to disdolve. So as PP said, avoid.
