Biting when feeding

My 9mo has one and a half very sharp little teeth. When he feeds he sometimes surprises me with a bite and drag movement... ouch! He's cut both of my nipples underneath, they're very sore when he feeds as he keeps getting his teeth involved and then grinning at me. How Can I get him to stop?

Tap his nose when he does it. He’ll be surprised and stop. Do it several times and message. Don’t try and pull him off, you’ll do more damage.

Yes, do not pull away! You want to push yourself closer to them when you start to feel any reeth as they can only do this when not deeply latched. After any cry of pain, a very firm "no, you do not bite" and stop the feed for a minute or so. I was surprised how well this worked with dd1 and dd2.

Kellymom has some good information on biting here OP.

Hope you find something that works for you, for me it was feeding lying down for a couple of days.
