How can i get her to stop, she hates the bottle and have tried believe me...... she won't take a beaker for water, and she seems to feed more these days, she is on solids now too. This is my second dd but 1st one i bottle fed from day 1 advice please.

You poor thing, I know exactly how you feel. I was ready to give up at about 6 months but I had the same problem as you, ds only wanted boob. I gave up with the bottle though and introduced a nuk learner bottle which he took ok, although I never managed to get him to take formula and I kept breastfeeding until 13 months. This must sound like along time to you but ds started dropping feeds quite rapidly once he reached about 7 months and by 8 months was only really feeding twice a day and my boobs were pretty much back to normal. Sorry its probably not what you want to hear, but I can tell you that ds is a very happy boy and we had no trouble stopping bf at 13 months.

Good luck

Tommee Tippee breast pads will stop the leaks, they are brilliant, don't know if that is any help.

Slink, my DS wouldn't go near a bottle until six and a bit months. For what its worth he has just started to do it eventually with loads of perseverence (just kept trying and trying with every feed but taking the bottle away when he got bothered even if straight away), letting him put the teat in his mouth himself seems to help. Also he wouldn't touch first formula but doesn't seem to object to forward formula for some reason.

Funnily we both now seem to enjoy BF more i got quite sad the first time he actually took the bottle properly!!

Anyway good luck with it, something will work out

Or chicco breast pads. They really made a difference to me and I felt so much better knowing they would not leak.

My DD2 is just a bit younger than yours and I am feeling abit worn down with the feeds too. My ds1 is only 22 months so the day feeds are no joy with him trying to get my attention (still love the morning and evening feeds as we are on our own).

Have to say, I am looking forward to weaning her just so that I can do more things with ds1 and so their routines are pretty similar. I am finding it hard to get out as I am either feeding dd or giving ds his meal.

For my ds, I didnt give him a bottle either and just went straight to a tommee tippe first cup. I found that he wouldnt take the ones with a valve in but the free flowing ones were fine.

Sorry just seem to have complained but you have my sympathies. xxx
