10 month old and milk

So my little one is 10 1/2 months old and I'm worried he's not having enough milk. He has recently dropped bottles like there is no tomorrow and so has either 2 or 3 8oz bottles per day.

The problem is he falls asleep on his bottle and sometimes doesn't finish it because he is too tired. Today he has only had 2 bottles, about 7oz this morning, but only 4oz just before he fell asleep. I'm worried because it's really hot and I don't want him to become dehydrated. He has water throughout the day but doesn't take too much.

He took to weaning quite well and has 3 meals a day and a few snacks here and there. Although he has been off his food today, I think because of the heat.

I think I need to just keep telling myself that if he is hungry he will definitely let me know and stop worrying.

Sounds completely fine to me, babies do drop bottles at this age. He won’t get dehydrated if you are also offering water at meal times etc, and you’re right, he’ll soon let you know if he’s hungry, but he’s having meals and snacks now. Very similar to my 10 month Old at the moment.

At that age he needs 350 mg of calcium a day and if he is having less than 17oz of formula a day then he needs multivitamins.

Three meals and several snacks sound good. My 2 year old has only had two meals and two snacks today but she has a cold so I am not worried.

With food you need to look and input over a week. As long as you have lots of wee and regular for him poo and he is maintaining his weight gain curve then don’t worry.
