Bf at night, formula/solids at day - quantities and timings?

I will go back to work when DS is 9 months and I will bf during the night and DS will have formula and food at nursery.

To get DS and my boobs used to the change I’m going to start introducing a bottle or sippy cup during the day. I’m wondering how much formula DS will need per day? If I bf at 6 am and 6pm, seems DS need a bottle at approx. 10am and 2pm. Does he need the recommendation on the formula box, approx 150ml/feed? DS currently have three meals/day, how much time should I leave before/after his meal before giving the bottle?

I would start with making a few bottles of around 5-6 oz and see how he gets on. Perhaps even start with the pre-mixed stuff as you can just pour out exactly what you want until you get a feel for how much he will take at each feed.

Don't be surprised if he isn't that fussed by it and just does without during the day until he can breastfeed again.

Equally don't be surprised if he decides that he much prefers bottles and formula and drops the breastfeeds all together at night in preference for bottles during the day, which is what my DD decided to do when I did the same thing.
