Bottle of formula not used

So I took my baby up to bed half asleep thinking he would maybe wake up and settle with a feed but he slept as soon as I put him down. I made a bottle up and he hasn't even touched it, can I wait till it's cool and refrigerate till morning or should I discard it?

Throw it away. Not worth the risk of doing anything else.

Ok that's fine. I know deep down that I should throw it away but I hear about so many people making bottles up in advance so thought I could maybe keep till morning, seems like such a waste but I know what u mean, not worth the risk.

I hated throwing away formula. Felt so wasteful. But then less so than expressed milk and definitely better than poisoning the baby.

Making up in advance is ok, but you need to chill very quickly. Like immediately.
