Hiya, I have a 13 month old boy. He's not great at eating lunch but is good at eating breakfast. This morning he had some ham and two medium hard boiled eggs with a quarter of a slice of bread. One egg seems like not enough as he cries and points for more. Is this a lot for a one year old though? He will eat half a satsuma mid morning or some watermelon. Go easy on me 😊

My 14 month old would eat the eggs and ham plus a full slice on toast and would then eat a banana and a satsuma too. He’s got a massive appetite though.

I think they are suppose to self limit at that age and they are still growing lots. I would limit my DD to one egg but only because it would cause constipation in her. You have not mentioned carbs in today’s breakfast, make sure he gets plenty carbs too.

When my DD hit 2 and stopped growing so quickly she suddenly reduced the amount she ate.

Thanks to you both. 😊 He did have a quarter of a slice of bread. He's not a massive fan of bread though- he does eat a lot of pasta or potatoe based meals for dinner.

I’ve always been a very big eater in the morning and still am. Agree with others that they self regulate. He’ll be fine Smile

Wish my toddler would eat so well! It doesn't sound too much to me x
